December 23rd update
The fate of Marcus » Devlog
Hi everyone!
A new release is finally out, and it's patching a few bugs:
- no more game freeze when the player is going into another chunk
- removing block placing with mouse (which was very buggy) to use the keyboard
- the fact that the block is moving along the X/Z axis, without taking the player point of view into account, is a normal behaviour
- if a block is above the head of the player, the jump is aborted
Also, new features are out !
- As said before, we can put blocks using the keyboard. Use E to start putting a block, and WASD (or ZQSD on AZERTY keyboards) to move it around. When you are done, use E again. To remove the block (if you didn't wanted to put one), use R. Please note that you can only remove blocks when you are in the process of putting one, when they are already put, you can't remove them.
- Biomes are around the corner! So far, I have a beach biome, and a forest one
- Use O to stop/play the background music (more should be coming soon!)
Biomes sneak peak:
Version 1 (mixed)
Version 2 (squared)
Tell me below this post which version you prefer! (of course, some work on my part is involved to make those look a bit better, but those are the two big versions of the biome system I made)
